today was full
full of ordinary goodness
feeding the dog
taking out the trash
talking about spring training
making sure the fridge was well stocked
taking a hot cup of soup to my sick wife
cleaning the grease off of a bicyle chain
which took two trips to the bike store
chatting with my daughter
when she calls from her new apartment
and inventing a new dessert with my son
that's all the poetry i got today
